Stuart Woods is a master, and Grass Roots is one of his best. This one will keep you going right up to the end.

Woods so carefully develops each of the several characters and what is happening in their lives that one begins to think he is jumping around a bit since the characters seem to come from such different worlds. However, he masterfully draws in the reins on each as their lives intersect. Once you reach the last 150 pages, be prepared to block out time to just finish the book because it is impossible to put down.

This guy is good. Requesting any thing new from this man.

Good writer but I wish he would keep his strong liberal bias to himself. Being a conservative, it makes reading his stuff a chore.

Will Lee has returned to his roots to kick off his campaign for the Senate. A prominent lawyer, he has come back to his hometown of Delano, Georgia, to plan his strategies...and to argue an explosively controversial case that could seriously damage his political career. This is a great story of racial intolerance, political intrigue, and murder.

A fast pace thriller about a lawyer who returns to his rural Georgia hometown planning to kick off his campaign for the Senate only to get caught up in a local trial that explosively exposes the strong sentiments of racial hatred and moral outrage that simmered in the community.

Man o Man. I had never heard of Stuart Wood prior to reading this book. It has been in my stack of stuff to read for over a year. This is one of the best books I have ever read. Politics, court room drama, hit men, secret organizations, sex, love, success and failure. The writing is very good...very good. It is one of those books that force you to do math (OK...If I stop reading right now I can get 4.5 hours sleep)!!!!

An older book, this was a mini-series in 1991. It's a wonderful read, fast-paced, and you won't want to put it down.

This fourth offering in Woods' series about Will Lee, the chief aide to a senator in Georgia who was played by Charlton Heston in the 6-hour TV drama, follows a sensational murder trial, a Senate campaign, and the acts of a virulent white supremacist group.

Like all Stuart Woods novels I have read this one keeps you reading until the last line. This is a Will Lee novel where he runs for the Senate while having to defend a man in Georgia who is accused of murder. Many twists and turns along the way.
