This short book is a fascinating and heart-warming ride along with swimmer Lynne Cox, when she crosses paths with a baby gray whale and takes on the task of helping him locate his mothers. For animal lovers of all stripes - this book reminds us that we are "all in it together".

A quick read. Good book with a much bigger message than a brave girl who swims with a whale. Lots of positive messages and life lessons for all of us. Whales are part of NYS 5th grade curriculum, and this book would be a GREAT addition to that unit. Great book to read along with your kids. They will learn a lot about aquatic life and human life.
Grayson is a baby gray whale who has gotten separated from his mother. Lynne Cox is whom Grayson befriends. This is a magical true story!
I bought this book in an airport on a trip last year and loved it so much I gave it to my daughter to hold onto for her daughter when she is old enough to read it. Beautiful story!!!
A fast, easy, enjoyable read. A heart-warming true story of a girl and a baby whale.
