To my knowledge, I have never read anything by Janet Dailey before, although I may have several of her books hidden away somewhere on my bookshelves downstairs. Anyway, I absolutely loved reading this book! It was extremely well-written and the plot captured and held my attention strongly until the very end. This is the sixth book in the Calder Saga, but for all intents and purposes, it can be read on its own - which is something that I very much appreciated. I give this book an A+! and am looking forward to reading more from Janet Dailey in the future.

This is a real page turner. I love the way Janet Dailey discribes the beauty of the land and entwines characters in a tale of love,hate,romance,distrust,family,murder and the passion for the family land.
Their land, family and pride is what the Calders is what they will fight for. They fight to win.

This book is a great addition to the the Calder Saga. I have been unable to put these books down. The story draws you in, making you frustrated, angry, fearful, and devestated right along with the characters.
Jessy Nile Calder's happiness is complete: she can count marriage to Ty, the man she loves; a large extended family; a successful ranch to help run; and twins on the way. But a shadow falls on her perfect bliss when Tara, Ty's unscrupulous ex-wife, comes back to Montana and the Triple C with marriage on her mind that is, remarriage to Ty. Suspicion, dissension, and jealousy run rampant as Tara's schemes not only do their damage to Jessy and Ty's marriage but threaten the Calder empire as well. Passion, vengeance, and an unexpected danger from the past add to the mix in a story that, while bittersweet and slightly melodramatic, continues the ongoing Calder saga in fine style.
