This read is magical and the writing lyrical. There are five key characters. We meet Mr. Lapp, a minister who wrestles with the devil; and Mr. Birdsong, a minister who is happy and cheerful. The two share a church in Greenwillow. Three other characters found in this story are Amos Briggs , his son, Gideon, and Dorrie, a gentle soul who loves Gideon. Their story unwinds in the gentle land of Greenwillow. It's a story of love, caring and imagination that touches the heart of those who read it. Lovely read.
