Second in a series, and if you haven't read the first one you'll be puzzled about Casey's circumstances for a bit, but there's enough backstory to get it eventually. One of the things I liked about this one was that while there's a conspiracy, the villains are not exceptionally competent or capable of thinking a long way ahead. They have smart moments which puts Casey in trouble, but they are not all-seeing nor completely idiots. Casey is likeable, although it stretched belief about the amount of punishment she could take and still get up and fight. I also had difficulty believing in the number of people in this small town who would take in a homeless woman, clothes covered in blood and no ID, assist her every need, not to mention hiding her from the cops. Still, good pacing, interesting puzzle, nice teenagers.
