This book was written more for the typical Southern Belle, rather than the barefoot, mud0ridin southern gal. Nice stories about the importance of passed-down cast iron skillets and that southern charm and drawl that my Northern boy has come to love! Deborah Ford puts words on paper in a unique way that every woman can use in everyday life.

Cute. This book is chock full of info, some which is supposed to e taken with a grai of salt. Although not a GRIT, my family is from South Carolina and Northern Florida and I spent many childhood summers there. Although northerns geographically, they are southerners in heart nd so am I. I am going to use a few of the recipes and keep this on my shelf for when I need a quick chuckle or a wlk down memory lane.
