There are very few books that I don't finish, and this was one of them. It just got incredibly wordy and confusing, with each character having 2-3 names that they were called, and very little physical description to help you keep track of which names went together.
I guess I was juse expecting something different from a King Arthur tale.. not sure what I was expecting, but this defintiely wasn't it.

This is the first of the Merlin's Descendants - I enjoyed it and can't wait to read the next one!

This book was a little more sexual then I like to read. I'm of two minds as to weather I'll read the next one. One person stated it was hard to follow because of the multiple names, but I didn't have that problem. I thought she made some interesting twists in the traditional story. I was found wanting more and less at the same time. If you like the roman tragedies this is the book for you. It's got it all. Incest, murder, tragic love, magic, demons, fairies, Christians and Pagans.
