The Guardian is such a good book by Beverly Lewis. This was a beautiful story of a young Englicsher woman, who finds Sarah, a lost Amish child, and returns her to her mother. She becomes friends with the family, and this sets her on a life-changing path. The characters were interesting and fun to read about. Lonely neighbor, Joshua, was in love with the widowed Maryanna. He had several indoor pets, including a parrot, a rabbit and a cat. Unfortunately, Maryanna does not approve of animals in the house! This has to worked out if their relationship can move forward!! I highly recommend this novel!

This was not one of my favorite books by this author. It
had a good message, but felt like it was moving in slow motion.

I loved this book, as I do every other Beverly Lewis novel. As usual, it was well written, pulling you into the story and wishing to meet an Amish family to settle in with and have a simple life to enjoy...and a glass of fresh-squeezed lemonade. :)
Nice story line, not quite as riveting as some of her other books. Always enjoy reading about Englischers' interaction with the Amish in her novels.
A Beautiful Heartwarming story. Jody is house watching for her English friends in Amish Country. She goes running and finds a little girl curled up in the grass asleep. THe Child a young Amish girl Sarah speaks no English just German. She cries for her mamma. There are no missing children reported. Trying to call the police no one answers. JOdy's friends tell her this is am Amish child and tells her to take the child to the bishop. But the child points further down the road to her mamas. This opens a new world of blessing for Jody.
