Took me a few days to read this since I had so much things I've been dealing with. I haven't read the previous books since last year and took me a few to remember Zander from Tiger's story (I believe). Zander is a strong alpha and I wanted to see him with a strong woman but Rae was a bit lacking. I get that she's in her early 20s but for a Chosen Guardian she's scared until she hears about shifters attacking and killing humans for nothing. But there were some many good parts like a human that went from a shifter bounty hunter to helping the shifters out. A unknown species of shifter is revealed that probably most people didn't know about in this book world. And the new war that's brewing from the fae and their slaves of feral shifters and humans to the collared shifters, sane uncollared and the humans.
