Will Robie has always been such a strong character, able to get out of any situation - it was nice to have some backstory about him, and see a little bit of vulnerability. Could not put this book down; some good twists really keep you guessing.
This is the 4th book in the Will Robbie series where Baldacci takes us back 20 years and we get a glimpse of Will's past and a strained relationship with his father. This is a great series about Will and his partner Jessica Reel who are trained assassins. In this book and the last which is about Jessica's past we get to see how human they are even though they are assassins. It's a great series and if you haven't started it yet, now is the time!
I don't think I've ever read a bad Will Robie book and this one rates right up there for me as well. Robie's life gets personal this time, for real. After hearing his estranged father has been arrested for murder, Robie heads down south to his birthplace, where he hasn't been back for 20+ years. He works to find the real killer with the help of an old schoolmate-turned-cop, and Jessica turns up as well. A few great twists and turns, with a very surprising ending, makes the reader reach for the next Will Robie book in the series.
Mr. Baldacci has done it again!! Kept me up all night reading this thriller. Will Robie and Jessica Beel are a great team, and watch each other's back! Except for near the shocking ending when he couldn't! You just have to read this book to find out what happened! Can't wait for the next book.
Very good story. Could not put down.
Baldacci is one of my favorite writers and I have read all of his books.
This one was a disappointment in almost every way. I had to look closely at the cover after I finished it to be sure there was not a co-author listed in fine print. I found it hard to believe he wrote it.
Skip this title and hope for better in the future.
