In some ways, these stories are better than Weiner's novels. Well written and succint, they capture the themes that we are used to but in a strong way that leaves the reader deeply touched in only a few pages.

An entertaining group of short stories exploring loss, love and the road (or guy) not taken. I don't enjoy short stories in general because I love character development and hate to see a character go before I know their full story - but I did enjoy these.

Enjoyed this collection of short stories. Had to go back to her other books to remember how a few of the stories were about the same characters. Enjoyable read.
A great collection of short stories. It had one story that had Cannie and Bruce from Good in Bed!

This was the second book that I've read from Jennifer Weiner and I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it either. It's a book of short stories (my first time ever reading short stories), but the the problem is ... is that the first three or four are about the same family and you get sucked in and just don't want it to end and then it does ... just like that ... ends, and leaves you hanging. Maybe I am just not a short story kind of reader?! But if you haven't read short stories before ... this would be a good book to wet your feet with.

This book contains several short stories about love and relationships. It will make you think and reflect on what is going on in your life or perhaps what has happened in your past.

Another fabulous read by Jennifer Weiner. Since her first novel, Good in Bed, I have loved her as an author. This collection of short stories was a breeze to read through. The last few pages tell about Jennifer's inspiration for each story and where they were first published. Excellent for Weiner fans!

Trouble getting through it. Not near as good as her novels.

A collection of short stories. I liked the stories overall, but the endings were weak. My favorite story was 'Oranges from Florida'.

Overall the book was okay. I really enjoyed the "The Guy Not Taken", but found that most of the stories needed longer to develop so that the endings would have been better.

This book was very enjoyable, light reading.

I love all of her books, but I am having such a hard time with this one. Its not interesting, and i keep debating returning it to the library before finishing it. ill keep it one more week, and if i havent gotten into it, back it goes, unread!
so i finished it on the pane and it was pretty bad. im so saddened, because i like everything she writes. i was planning on reading swapping lives next but i think ill hold off. the first three stories in this book were utterly painful. the next couple were ok, and the last two or three again were bad. one story (the title one) i skipped completely because the first pages were so bad. ugh! stick to novels my dear!

Endreaing, funny, sad... this book is great Weiner. Nice short stories to read. Nifkin appears, again!
I was sad that this wasn't nearly as good as her other books.. I had to force myself to finish it. :( Others really loved it though.
An excellent collection of short stories that made me laugh out loud. I love Jennifer Weiner's writing and I felt like I knew the characters in these stories. She has such a vivid imagination. I especially love the part at the end where she describes each short story, tells you when and why she wrote it, etc. I suggest reading that before you read the story just to paint the background picture!
An easy read. Good short stories
Jennifer Weiner is always a good read. This book is no exception.
Great stories and easy reading.
This book is a combination of short stories by Jennifer Weiner. I was able to get into this one like her others.
Did not like any of the stories. As soon as I would invest in a story it would end not even closely resolved. disappointing
I enjoy about anything by Jennifer Weiner. I wish some of the short stories were put into a full story!
EXCELLENT-- AS always she outdoes herself-Mint condition from a PBS member
Please note this is a hardbook copy and the book is missing it's paper dustjacket
