Jan Yoors really did run away to with a tribe of gypsies in pre-WWII Europe. He became accepted member of a clan of gypsies. As a result, his books are considered the best source of information about gypsy culture. Particularly since gypsies almost instinctively lie about themselves to outsiders. Fascinating and entertaining as well as informative.
Live with the gypsies! Travel with the gypsies. A close encounter of the traveling kind. Gypsie life,love, religion and entertainment first hand. A real eye opener.
