Great read! I love the beginning especially! Louis L'Amour hasn't let me down yet. His stories are so wonderfully detailed I feel as though I am part of the book! I must admit there wasn't as much action in this book as I had expected there would be. If you love a GOOD story about friendship, hard times, and happy endings I highly recommend this story!

Two rough and tumble cowboys get ready to spend the winter in a line shack, fighting cold, hunger and rustlers. Then a beautiful woman comes in to help her brother. A mixture of humor, brutality, and love. Well aged and well read book, but very enjoyable as are all of Louis' tales.
