I liked her first book, The Happiness Project, a lot more and the beginning of this one more than the end. Maybe I related to less in this book than the first book but I found these chapters to be less helpful and harder to get through. Still can't decide if the pictures scattered throughout the book (not in the 1st book) were a nice addition or a distraction. I liked the ideas of showcasing in your home things you are interested in or items associated with strong memories as too often we keep items or photos but don't focus on remembering why we have them in the first place, seeing them more often can invoke the memories. I also liked "make the positive argument" to help think from another perspective and not jump to conclusions about other people's behaviors and react badly and also as a tool to change how we see ourselves. I will likely reread the first book at some point but not this one.
