I read all of Emilie Richards books and this one had a slow start, probably because the first 6-8 chapters were getting to know multiple characters. I had thought about not finishing, but "plowed on". After while the story line became most interesting and I finished the book in one day! There is excitement in getting to know these people and there are mystery plots. Gave a good rating, since it holds the interest after the slow beginning!!
I could hardly put this down. After her crook husband goes to prison, divorced Tracy, who has lost everything but a run down resort in Florida, moves into one of the cabins on the beach. She gets to know her renters and finds a whole new life, very different from the shallow fake life she was raised to live. I liked getting to know each of the characters and I was hoping the book would not end. GREAT READ.

I have many Emilie Richards books on my TBR pile, I have only read one other book by her, the 1st in the ministry is murder series. Because that book was just ok, I hesitated to read another book by her when there are so many great books left on my TBR pile.
I needed to read this for a swap here on PBS or just send it unread. I am so glad I read the book, her ability to write Women's fiction was superb. She can write as good as Elizabeth Berg.
The story, characters, and friendships were believable. I loved that the author added a mystery, to a book about women finding themselves through their friendships. Very well done and highly recommended. I will pull some of the other books by this author off the dusty shelf and give the quilting series a try now. and Now I will get on the waiting list for book two in this series.

I absolutely loved this book. It started out a bit slow & didn't hook me at first, but once the characters started developing, I found it hard to put down. There is such a beauty in the bond of friendship & in the human ability to learn, accept differences & grow (if one chooses to do so :-) and this story really touches on all those things. It also has some light mystery, which was done really well. I was thrilled to realize that this is book 1 in a series and I just ordered book 2!
