first Blackie Ryan book I have read. This is great. Good story includes murder and ghosts. Great characters. Great dialogue.

There have been ghostly happenings in the suburban parish of Saints Peter & Paul. It seems the spirt of the recently deceased Monsignor Charles McInerny is restless. Rectory televisions turn themselves on, footseteps are heard & a presence is felt in the bedroom where the body was found. But when Bishop Blackie Ryan comes to investigate he discovers other strange occurrences that are far more earthly--and condemning--such as an adultrous conspiracy hiding ten million dollars in missing church funds. In fact, the secret of the living tell Blackie Ryan all he needs to know about the dead. It was murder.
First read of Greeley's writings and was greatly surprised
