I first heard about Steve Ross and Happy Yoga: 7 Reasons Why There's Nothing To Worry About from Inhale, his morning yoga show on Oxygen network in the early '00s. It WAS my first regular practice and helped me fall in love with it. When the show got canceled, I fell back on recordings and this book. Ross takes the philosophy and practice of yoga and makes it fun.
From playlist suggestions, poses, and flows to amusing anecdotes, he shows readers how yoga isn't about being a perfectly flexible guru with some ultimate spiritual secret, but a method of being accepting of ourselves and our bodies and that once you realize all you already have all you need, joy comes naturally.
