Well, I'm not sure how I feel about this book. It had funny moments for sure and I enjoyed it overall, but it wasn't my favorite in the series. The major case just didn't end in a satisfying way for me. There was so much build up and craziness and then it was over very suddenly. Of course, I'll still read the series because I love the character in general, but this one just didn't do it for me.

This was a fun read. Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum has to find a mother and child to save her grandmother's house from being taken over by the bail bond agency that Stephanie works for.

One of the many adventures of Stephanie Plum, a New Jersey bounty hunter (by default). Lots of excitement, laughter and even some highly charged moments. A terrific series of books!

Not reading these in any particular order but that really doesn't seem to impact the story or main characters. It is a fun fluffy kind of book. Something that is easy to pick up at anytime and read. The characters are funny, witty and often predictable but you still turn the page. Interesting story, keeps you working the angles and fun to find out the ending.

As always, Janet Evanovich writes a funny, laugh out loud, novel. Since my mom's family is from Trenton, I can relate to some of the places in the book. In fact, Grandma Mazur reminds me of one of my mom's aunt - always ready for fun with a smart mouth!

No doubt about it, bounty hunter Stephanie Plum has man trouble. Her on-again, off-again relationship with Det. Joe Morelli is currently off, and she's made a tacit agreement to have a wild encounter with the mysterious Ranger. Currently, however, the most deadly man in Stephanie's life is Eddie Abruzzi, a psycho businessman and war-games fanatic.

Stephanie ran afoul of Eddie when she agreed to help her parents' neighbor Mabel Markowitz locate her granddaughter Evelyn and great-granddaughter Annie, who have gone into hiding. Mabel might lose her house because it was used as collateral in a custody bond. Evelyn's ex-husband, who also owes money to Eddie, is angry and threatening. Suddenly everyone is looking for Evelyn the big question is, why? When live snakes and spiders and dead people turn up in Stephanie's apartment, she knows she's in deep trouble. This will teach her to do a favor for a neighbor!

Stephanie Plum is really in a pickle this time! Just when you think that the adventures of Plum and company can't get any funnier or more convoluted.
