Very HARD to get through. I felt that the story jumped around too much to make it enjoyable and I honestly got sick of the main character whining about jobs (which takes forever to get through) and her love life.
This book is hilarious. A light, fun read.
I really liked this book. I felt it was more about Emma's jobs and less about her relationships with men. It was an interesting story and I loved th back story of Emma and her quest for a career.
Pleasant, semi-British chick lit
From the back of the book:
RIGHT. HERE'S WHAT I'VE LEARNED SO FAR....
1. Mums forgive their sons everything;
They forgive their sons' girlfriends nothing.
2. People who stay late at the office aren't admirable;
They're just not having sex.
3. When your boss says "nice blouse" with a wink,
It's time to wear a bra.
4. People who try to coin new catchphrases deserve our pity.
5. Friendship is not a one-way street. Neither is love.
Office politics. Bedroom diplomacy. The right dreams but the wrong turns. A girl can put up with a lot. But when she's had enough, don't be surprised when she comes out swinging...
