Chicago radio interviewer Studs Terkel lets his subjects talk about their experience during the Great Depression of the 1930's. Some are well-known figures, others are not. It's a great way to learn history.

I enjoyed reading this book immensely. You know how some books are thin and others are meaty? This one for me was full of interesting information in the form of interviews of people who livedthrough the depression. Many different kinds of people--some who evn did well during that time. It really taught me a lot.
Anyone interested in the history of the time would enjoy this book. I give it five stars.
