I've so enjoyed this series overall but this book felt different - no Paul who Anna just married! No long conversations with her sister on the phone. Not as much fabulous history and description of the park that is the reason I started listening to these. At one point while listening I forgot where this one was taking place. The crimes were also much darker - childhood sexual abuse, polygamist cult, and disturbing serial killer experiments. I hope book 14 is more like the previous Anna Pigeon stories.
