Psychologist Alan Gregory is asked to profile a murderer when his friend Peter is murdered. He discovers he must first find out who his friend Peter really was. Very good book
Another very good one from Stephen White, this one told from Alan Gregory's point of view. The death of a close friend leads Dr. Gregory to delve into the world of profiling and forensic psychology, a role I hope he'll continue to develop as the series rolls on. I'm looking forward to the next one.
Excellent thriller - - well developed storyline - - -suspenseful and full of action - - loved trying to put all the pieces together before reaching the end! Just to let you know this book has a different cover but it does have the same ISBN book number that is listed here for this book!!!
Great pychological thriller.
I had never read a Stephen White book before but really enjoyed this one. It's set in Boulder and the surrounding area and I liked reading about where I live. It's a mystery with Dr. Alan Gregory as a friend of the murder victim. Keeps you guessing till the end as to the idenity of the killer or killers.
I;m half-way through the book, but so far, it's a thriller. It's hard for me to put down the book. White certainly knows how to capture the imagination of his readers. Can't wait to finish it!

Did the guilty party have a sick taste for show biz? Was the murderer inspired by greed or by vengeance? Or by forbidden sex?
Good book, easy reading. Keeps your attention!
