Two story anthology. First story was just ok, almost prudish in how it was written. The second story was much better, although the heroine could have been a little less standoffish.

Two inspirational romance stories, both set around the Thanksgiving holiday season.

The first "All Good Gifts" bring a widowed wife and a rugged bachalor together, but the secrets each are holding keep them from the obvious love they both feel for each other. How do they finally find ways to share those secrets and live happily ever after?

The second "Loving Grace" involves a pretense of boyfriend and girlfriend for a family Thanksgiving dinner. How does this pretense become reality?

Here is a novel (actually two novellas) to restore my faith in Christian authors and a romance to restore my faith in romances. These stories made me smile. When I read the first story, set in Michigan, I remembered my own family's vacation trip to Mackinac Island. The second story is not as strong on setting, but moves quickly. A terrific "fluffy" read overall.

october '03 - heartwarming inspirational romance.

The first story is a great one of renewal of love after betrayal. Tess had a less-thank-desirable first marriage and after she meets Ryan in the woods by her summer cabin, it takes a lot of trust for her and for her new friend to become more than just friends. It is a fun read.

This was a TERRIFIC book! One of the rare books you don't want to put down till you finish reading it! Starts off a bit slow, but once it kicks in, you are HOOKED! This does not have graphic sexual material in it so is suitable for young adults to read as well.

From the back cover (but doesn't give the book justice to the reader of HOW good the book is! ):

It all started with a dream-a dream of fertile acres, swift stallions, strong sons and beautiful daughters. For a poor Scottish imigrant with a gift of talking to horses, it all began with love.

From the moment he set eyes on his beautiful Faith, Ian Duncan knew she was the only girl for him. But her unbreakable betrothal to his employers vicious son forced him to steal his love away on the very eve of her marriage.

Running for their lives, Faith and Ian were married clandestinely, their only possessions a magnificent horse, a family Bible, a wedding ring quilt and their unshakable belief in each other.

While their homestead waited to be carved out of the Iowas wilderness, Faith presented Ian with the most precious gift of all: a son and a daughter, born of the winter snows into the spring of their lives. The golden years were still ahead, their dream was coming true, but that was just the beginning..
