Blend of the supernatural with sci-fi. Parents of children with strong psychic powers are told their child has died. The child is actually raised with "foster" parents who work for this science lab where the children are coerced into developing their powers. Many of the children rebel as they're guided by the scientists and their foster parents to hurt animals and humans. The lab is secure with their experiments until one mother gets a psychic call for help from her daughter.

Suspenseful, intriguing and engrossing. This one is hard to put down until the end! Great book!
