It was a good, steamy love story, but the mystery part was kind of weak. Is any romance reader really going to suspect the hero for any length of time? The leads are very likable. The hero is a tough former foster kid turned Black Ops warrior who left because he loved her. She's a survivor rather than a victim who joined the police force and works hard to avoid being alone. Their reconnection is great and I enjoyed the St. Louis setting.
The emphasis of this story was on the current murders but I can't help but wonder where the forensics team was when Tony Maclin was killed. If the guys beat him with their bare hands, there would be different blood types, right? I can't help but feel that the author could have handled that aspect better instead of the 'swept under the carpet' cold case that is supposedly became. It was a very good whodunit story though and I am looking forward to book 2 Killer Decision - Gabe's story.
Fabulous!! loved it!! great romanic suspense.
