This has been an absolutely fantastic series! I hated for it to end! When we met Rachel in the first book, From A Distance, I wanted to hear more about her story. Then, we met Dr. Rand Brookston in the first book also and I loved him and wanted him to have his own story too. Little did I know then, they would both have their stories told and they would very slowly fall in love. Perfect story! I just loved it!
There are some very interesting historical Civil War facts. For instance, what happened to Rand during the war.....how gruesome! I had heard of this but never had it incorporated into a book! So very fascinating! I'm from Georgia so Civil War references interest me.

Tamera Alexander did a wonderful job with the Timber Ridge Reflection series. This is story of Rachel Bond, who is a widow with two little boys. She is trying to keep and run her late husband's ranch, but it it very difficult. She doesn't think she will ever be able to love again, but the town doctor has other ideas. I really enjoyed this book!
