First time I have read a Becnel novel. It was a little different in that a bachlor had 3 natural children he decided to take into his home. I did like the book although there are others I have liked more.

I liked this book, but the hero was a hot mess! He's got 3 illegitimate children by 3 different women, and after being out of the country for several years, he is making an effort to take responsibility for them. But it creates chaos in his household, and he really needs the heroine's help. James, Viscount Farley, was very entitled and used to having things always go his way, and it takes him forever to realize that Phoebe is the one he wants, not the politically advantageous match he had planned. Phoebe was too forgiving, she gave in to him too easily and he should have groveled a lot more.
The children are great characters, I really enjoyed them.
