I really wanted to like this one but that wasn't the case. It started out pretty good but as you keep reading, Monroe just keeps saying the same thing over and over again: Rachel = he left me, everything is my fault, can't trust anyone, I'm all alone, blah, blah, blah. Kaden = I can't stand being a killer, she deserves better, boo hoo hoo. On top of that Rachel acted and thought like a child and was the worst team player ever. I don't know how she survived as an agent. And I'm sure if anyone ever died on this op, Rachel and Kaden would fight for the title of who is more at fault. And with the amount of unresolved issues that had, they really shouldn't be around any firearms.

But the thing that kept me reading and had me completely hooked was Neil and Wyatt's relationship. The arguments and dialogue were right on. They were sweet. I would have given up the book if it wasn't for them.

The ending made it more bearable because of how awesome Jamila was.

I think if Monroe shaved off half of the book and made it a short story or novella it would be better. But you would have missed out on cheesy lines such as "Regret rode him harder than a Humvee trip through Afghanistan."
