Usually when movies are adapted from novels, audiences collectively agree that the original manuscript is better than what ends up on the big screen. In the case of "Just Like Heaven," (originally published as "If Only it were True"), the opposite is true. Nevertheless, the story is still charming, just not as likeable as the movie with Reese Witherspoon.
This book is about a woman who lives a busy life as a doctor, and ends up in a terrible crash. She comes back to her apartment as a ghost and the only person who can see her is a gentleman who rents her apartment.

Such a sweet book. I think I originally read this when it may have had another title? Could be mistaken. Fast moving.
(back cover) what do you do when you find a stranger in your closet, particularly whe she's surprised that you can even see her- and she can disappear and reappear at whim? what if she then tells you that her body is actually in a coma on the other side of town? should you have her see a psychiatrist or should you consult one yourself? or do you take a chance and believe in her, and allow yourself to be swept up in an extraordinary adventure?
