Ted Dekker writes exciting books that make you htink. This one is guaranteed to keep you up to get it read. Kent is a software genius-about to make a million dollars. He's on top of the world. For a while...things go terribly wrong, and slowly, like JOb of the Bible he loses his future, his career, his material possession, and finally his family. But GOd wants to restore him to higher things...with the help of a despised mother in law who will walk miles while praying to save his soul.

Excellent book---started reading right after it arrived, and couldn't put it down! Storyline hooked me right away, and I couldn't wait to see what happened next. I loved the imagery about heaven.

I love Dekker's books, but this one wasn't one of my favorites.
Ted Dekker weaves a thriller into a love story. Or a love story into a thriller. Quite an amazing story and one of my favorites.
Very, very good. Ted Dekker is my favorite author.
