This is a direct sequel to Dark Crusade - order is important in this series and especially so with this one. The characters are introduced and the plot's primary motivations occur in Dark Crusade.
Like the others in the series it is an enjoyable read-once. In some ways it had less action than others in the series - more time was spent on the hero and heroine and their love/hate/trust problems.
