Fifteen most enjoyable Sister Fidelma short stories, many of which are set in the time before the first novel of the series. Brother Eadulf does not appear in any of these shorts, but Sister Fidelma is as sharp and feisty as ever despite not having her Watson to her Holmes.

Fifteen little, great who-done-its, most of which are only about 20 pages long. Sister Fidelma gets around a lot, as one story takes place in Rome. One reoccurring motive for many of the crimes is love, often with one of the lovers being a priest, or religious brother or sister.
