Book two of Linda Lael Miller's time travel duo. Elizabeth's cousin Rue is determined to find out what happend to her cousin ELizabeth who has disappeared. But when she finds the time portal, she crosses to find a burned out house and no cousin. The sherrif doesn't belive she's Elizabeth's cousin and threatens to arrest her for tresspassing and then follows through with his threat when he finds her playing poker in the saloon. And it only gets better from there. Good fast read. The book is 20 years old, so the language is a little stilted - but a good story.
