Nolie Lang learned at an early age that animals wouldn't let her down like people did. Her farm was a haven for abandoned animals--and a source of hope for the disabled. Very romantic story that took on several themes. Gabe is an injured firefighter who has to make career adjustments and learn how to deal with a disability. Nolie is the person who tries to help him. Very good story.
