This is a wonderful autobiography of one of the true stars of the Golden Era of movies. It is not only an lively tale of her life and career but many behind the scene tales with many well-known actors and directors of the thirties, forties, and fifties. This lady was not only a gutsy, talented actress and singer but one who excelled on her own term--- a pure delight and engrossing read!

Very interesting, especially the gossip about the director John Ford and
Walt Disney. She had a more interesting career than I thought.
She was best friends with John Wayne until his death.
I enjoyed the book.
