This book is a remake of the 1934 hershey cookbook. many great things to cook and bake. If you are a chocoholic GET THIS BOOK.
Chocolate lovers dream cookbook!
This is beautiful cookbook for someone who likes to cook and/ or bake and loves chocolate. They are all kinds of cakes, Icings and sauces, pies, desserts, breads,cookies and candies and beverages. These recipes are made the old fashioned way with an old time wonderful flavor, taste and consistency. You can not get this flavor with mixes or canned icing. There are many outstanding recipes in this cook book.
To me, this is such a precious book. The chocolate recipes are great, of course, but the thing that enchants me are the old pictures and drawings from the '30's.
They are homey, and nostalgic, and reminds you of old days gone by, maybe at Grandma's house, when life was simpler.
I would love to scan these pictures and hang them in my kitchen. If my Grandma was still alive, I would buy this book for her. It is so sweet.
