This definitely deserves all 5*!
O'Brien is a very good suspense/thriller writer and even though most of his books are overly long (too long) he has the talent of keeping with the story and not drifting off in other directions or going overboard with unnecessary descriptions and that is one of my major pet peeves with authors, even though this book is 550 pages the story flows along and makes you keep just turning the pages and before you know it you're so deep into the story that you can't put it down!
Just since the first of this year this is the first book I can give a full 5* great rating

I enjoy all of O'Brien's books, but this one was definitely one of my favorites! I just kept reading and reading and reading, dying to know what would happen next. There are two plots going on and you know they are connected, but I couldn't quite figure out how and I knew someone must be involved, but wasn't sure which plot he was part of. I am so surprised to see the overall rating for this book is 3 stars. This book was a five star read!
