This one is yet another winner from Ms Rose.... I'll admit to being a little wary about starting this one as I find the plot device of doctor-patient privileges to stall investigations trite, or overused, but Ms rose has the ability to tell her story in unique and well thought out ways so much so that stories you might have heard hundreds of times before, sound new and exciting coming from her! Her writing is both potent as well as addicting, and you'll have a hard time putting this one down despite all those pesky distractions otherwise known as real life, that will try to get in your way!

She has strong characters, who are competent, intelligent, and real as well as hardworking and strong willed. They are described so well and brought to life so much so, that you can't help but not only like the Hero and heroine and their families and friends, but you care about what happens to them all as well!

And I love the interconnecting of her characters from past (and probably future) books! It's a nice visit down memory lane for some, and others it's nice to think about where Ms Rose will take them!

As for the suspense, it was on par with Ms. Rose's previous writing as well:-) It had a good build up and keeps you in high tension, nail biting agony as you wait for all the pieces to fall into place, and figure out what's going on, why, and who the heck that big bad is (I was totally surprised to find out who it was! talk about coming out of left field)! But I think my personal favorite bit was that the end of the suspense didn't automatically end the book. We definitely get some oft neglected closure!

And the romance was lovely... though yes, H and h didn't know each other for long (though they do know Of each other), as the story moves forward, you sort of forget that particular fact... and I loved that they didn't immediately get along! As we get both the hero and heroine's point of view we can see how they came to gradually know (and love) each other...

Karen Rose, at least in my not-so-humble and usually right opinion, has earned the title of Queen of Romantic Suspense... and I'll definitely be buying (and most likely keeping) all her titles:-)

This book will please suspense and romance reasers. Karen Rose weaves a pretty complex murder case that you can't put down ...add some good old romance to the mix and you have a winner. Some might say it is not her best when it comes to writting style and flow but it is undeniably a good read.

One of the indicators that a series is good is when the author keeps you connected to earlier characters while still moving the series forward and devoting the current book to the current story instead of rehashing the past stories. Some authors do this perfectly while some are unable to do it at all, driving me to give up on the series completely.

YOU CANT HIDE is the fifth book in Karen Roses romantic suspense series. I am very reluctant to even label it as part of a series because each book up to this point stands on its own and doesnt require the previous books to have been read first. However, I strongly recommend you read them all as it would be a shame to miss them. The Reagan family is back in this story that features Aidan Reagan, who is now a Detective. He and his partner are investigating the suicide of one of Tess Ciccotellis patients and the clues seem to point to Tess as the one to blame. Immediately, the reader is given a sense of the animosity between Aidan and Tess and we quickly learn that Aidan despises Tess because he is angry that a serial killer of children escaped prosecution because of her medical testimony. Aidan suspects Tess and argues with his partner who believes Tess is innocent. Unfortunately for Tess, more of her patients die and Tesss life becomes endangered. After one tense and dangerous standoff, Aidan realizes that Tess is being set up. Along the way, they develop feelings for one another.

I really liked this story especially when Aidan started being more open minded about what was going on with Tess and not letting his anger lead him. I had my suspicions early on about who was behind the killings and sabotage of Tess. My suspicions proved correct though I dont know why I suspected this person to begin with. The most interesting aspect wasnt about WHO was behind this, but WHY they were doing it. This proved to be very disturbing as each layer revealed another dark and sinister fact and that this villain could be capable of the level of hate required to commit these acts proved to be the most frightening of all.

Aidan and Tess are a perfect match. Their personalities complement each other and both have trust issues resulting from bad relationships. Both have suffered personal loss. Both have built walls around their hearts. Tess is estranged from her family back in Philadelphia and being around Aidans family fills the void in her soul. Tess has a cat named Bella and Aidan has a Rottweiler named Dolly, which is just one more aspect of why I loved these characters.

This author is becoming a favorite for me to choose when I want suspenseful stories featuring likeable characters with wounded souls but carrying great amounts of strength of will and personality.

Someone is setting up Psychiatrist Tess Ciccotelli to look guilty. A killer is driving her patients to suicide and making it look like she is behind the murders. Detective Aiden Reagan thinks it may be true when Tess refuses to break her oath and give a list of her patients to the cops. But after investigating the case, it becomes clear to Aiden that someone is trying to destroy Tess's career and wants the last victim to be Tess herself.

This is a well balanced romantic suspense book. It had an interesting romance between two well-drawn characters. I liked that Aiden and Tess didn't like each other when they first meet. The book had a great mystery/suspense story that was very hard to put down. I guessed who the killer was early in the book but could not guess the motive.

I'm looking forward to more books by this author. So far I've enjoyed every book in the series. My rating: 4.5 Stars.

good thing, in my opinion, rose is a prolific writer; otherwise, i couldnt have read this one. the story is soooo fantastic! i mean, can a psychopathic killer be THIS smart? maybe, but i found it kinda doubtful.

Good book but....

I just felt like there was too much going on. It did keep me guessing who the killer was until the end. I just couldn't believe the amount of kills and how long it took them to solve it--or maybe because it was such a long book. I felt like it dragged out for me. I didn't really feel the chemistry between the two characters. Well-written though.
