This is an amazing firsthand account of a Christian family in Holland that sheltered Jews during WWII. I found their faith in God throughout the horrors they suffered to be inspirational beyond belief. I admit that I am not religious, but even so this book was extremely inspirational. It also gives great insight into the few good people that risked their lives to help others during the bleakness that was the Holocaust. If you have an interest in WWII, the Holocaust or Jesus this book is for you.
This book was truely amazing. I was constantly amazed by the characters' faith and trust in God. I kept wondering what kind of person I would be if put in the same situation. I would hope that I would rely on God and sacrifice as much as they did. I loved Corrie's father and his wisdom. It was very touching when he told her that her father (both earthly and Heavenly) would carry her burdens for her until she was able to do it herself. That message kept appearing throughout the book and their trials. This was an inspiring tale.

A story of one family, and their faith, that God would be with them as they stood up for what was right. And God never failed them, as He will never fail us.
