Another rip-roaring Stephanie Plum mystery. Just when you think she can't come up with any more wild and zany characters, she does! Laugh-out-loud funny!

I am reading the series in order, and I know I have a long way to go, but this one was GREAT!!! I thought the 4th was awesome, but 5 is just amazing! Stephanie is at it again and this time her family is involved in a big mess!
ALSO anyone who is interested in her love life will get a kick out of this one. Ranger or Morelli??? The ending keeps you guessing!

The action never stops! Another Stephanie Plum adventure when she sets out to find her missing uncle. As usual, many other things intervene and you are off on another reading adventure.

Fantastic read as always. I love the Stephanie Plum books. They will make you laugh out loud while reading.

Very funny and surprisingly good for a book this far into a series. They seem to get better as the characters evolve and so far the plots don't suffer, as is often the case in a long series.
All of the usual characters make an appearance, so you won't be disappointed by a lack of Lula or Grandma Mazur butting in and causing trouble.

Another fantastic Stephanie Plum adventure. This time I didn't get through the first chapter without laughing out loud. Grandma Mazur gets a little more book time, and is hysterical as always. Stephanie is asked to look for her missing Uncle Fred, and also starts working part time for Ranger with whom the sexual tension is heating up. Morelli is still around and gorgeous as ever. She's got a crazy man watching her, a ticked off little person living in her apartment (which give some of the funniest lines in the book), and her luck with cars has, if anything, gotten far worse than before. And of course, dinner with the Plums is never to be missed!
These characters get better and better as the books go on, and Stephanie's exploits just get funnier and funnier.

High Five
5 out of 5
Janet Evanovich
To date, I think this was my favorite book in this series. All the characters were there in all their feistiness. Even Grandma Bella and her Evil Eye.
Once again Stephanie is out of money and will take any FTA, this one turns out to be a very stubborn littler person who in turn decides to move into Stephanies apartment, which wouldnt be so bad if she wasnt already distracted by her overly cheap Uncle Fred who went MIA while trying to right a $2.00 wrong at the trash company.
Things start to heat up when she starts spending a little too much time with Ranger and now is having the Ranger/Morelli conflict. Some girls have all the luck. Now to find Fred, whos wife really doesnt mind that hes missing, keep out of the way of a psycho boxer, get a dwarf (after calling Stephanie a loser, the gets called names too), choose between Ranger and Morelli, keep a taser away from grandma, chauffer a child sheik, dodge a killer, and stop getting cars destroyed all seem to be a week in the life of Stephanie.
Great fast passed book with lots of storylines and great giggles. I highly recommend this one.

Stephanie Plum is a wisecracking bounty hunter with a hamster, a spunky grandmother, and two men to choose from. Evanovich sense of place and time is terrific, her characterizations are individual, and her pace is quick...An enjoyable read.

What can I say? So far, I find that each Stephanie Plum book is better than the previous one. I think one of the reasons is that the cast of characters is getting larger, and the characters and situations are getting a little more complex. And while Stephanie is definitely disaster-prone, her experience is definitely increasing. This book definitely builds upon the previous ones.
I was definitely pleased to see the last of a particularly creepy character, and the way it happened was definitely gratifying. And Ms. Evanovich - you're so naughty with that cheeky ending!

SHE IS JUST A RIOT WITH HER "STEPHANIE PLUM BOOKS"

HOLY COW!!!! If U are a Stephanie Plum fan, U will love this book! I considered taking a cold shower after I finished reading this one. Then I made the mistake of reading the intro to the next book in the series & I am finding it hard to wait for the mailman to deliver it.

Love this series! Stephanie Plum single woman struggling to make a living with a cast of familiar crazy characters plus always some new inhabitants. Get a look at life in "the burg", someplace different than a lot of the writers settings. Great fun adventures every time. Love the stories, just could do with a little less romance and sex. Hope J.E. continues to write this series of number books into the teens, twenties, onward and forward...

Janet Evanovich is a great writer, who writes hilarious novels filled with equal parts romance and sex, humor and fun, and plenty of mayhem, (the eventual death of at least one automobile per novel just a small slice of that humorous mayhem) as her main character, the infamous bounty hunter Stephanie Plum, tries to scrape her screwball life in to order and catch the bad guys, whilst handling the antics of her crazy grandma, ex-hooker side kick Lula, and several other wild characters that flock to Stephanie like a magnet... and those are just her friends and family... the bad guys are a whole different sort of crazy all together. You will enjoy Evanovich's murder mystery plots, but I ensure that the humor and sexual tension in her stories will keep you begging for more!
Great fun, non stop action and laughs.
Any Stephanie Plum fan will love her search for Uncle Fred and her series of new cars. She sure cheers me up.
This series gets better as the numbers get higher. A great read!
Another great Stephanie Plum misadventure.
Didn't want to put it down. Laugh out loud funny.
Ohhhhh! What a great series! I think I loved this book the most of the series so far. Hilarious!
Instead of a 7-foot transvestite (Book Four), there is a three foot dwarf. Stephanie (the bounty hunter) keeps getting her car blown up, and Evanovich keeps the reader in stitches. In Book Five, Stephanie is once again trying to find the killer while the killer is trying to find our heroine. Looks of sex and fun.
A great, easy read. Couldn't put it down.
Another fun book by this author.
Funny and moves quickly
This is a hilarious series of funny storied books.
Unfortunately Janet doesn't know how to turn on the heat for the romantic side of her stories.
I read one book and then had to find them all.

very good book and i love the characters especially the grandmother.
the most intense of the Stephanie Plum novels, so far!
Stephanie Plum is hilarious. Janet Evanovich has made Stephanie Plum a star. This is the best series I have ever read.
Great and fun reading.
Great, laugh out loud funny.
Another great Stephanie Plum novel with an ending that left me SCREAMING! Thank goodness I didn't have to wait to start "Hot Six".
A great read, fun and fanciful.
Another great Stephanie Plum read.
great book!!
Another entertaining book, as usual. They never disappoint.
Janet has once again written an excellent book with Stephanie at the helm of adventure and action and Grandma Mazur is da bomb, as well as Joe being his normal infuriating, yet sexy self. Ranger and Lula definitely add spice to this funny novel of mayhem and laughter.
Another crazy ride with Stephanie, Lula, Grandma, and the guys. Great, quick read, and lots of fun.
Excellent series
This is the 5th in a series of novels by Janet Evanovich. Bounty Hunter, Stephanie Plum sets out to find her missing uncle-and along the way smacks slam-bang into: a dead body, a nasty bookie, her stun-gun-toting grandmother, two very sexy men, an angry little man who won't leave her apartment, and a Mafia wedding.
These series of books are so funny, and so enjoyable, and I try to wait patiently until the next book comes out but it's not easy.

A great, fun read in the Stephanie Plum series.
Number 5 and I'm still laughing out loud. Still hooked and loving the series. Was reading this one on a plane and got a few stares on more than one occasion due to the sudden fits of laughter. The only negative I have on the books is that by the end of this book I was beginning to feel that the blowing up of Stephanies cars is getting a bit old. She had at least one or two cars of her own blown up in books 1, 2, 3 and 4 and then now in book five she had about 5 cars blow up. Thats getting a bit old and would like to see her make it thru a whole book without having that happen, but still loving the series.
If it has "Evanovich" on the cover, it is a well-written book. If it is one of her "numbered" mysteries, it is good reading!
Hot guys, adventures, & laughs. I love this books series.
Another absolutely hilarious book by Evanovich! Grandma Mazur and Lula are priceless. The love triangle of Stephanie, Morelli and Ranger begin. Have book 6 on hand because you will want to jump right in it with the ending on this one!
Another great book by Janet Evanovich. Her writing (and Stephanie Plum) keep me coming back for more.
Just like always, wonderful books
I started reading these books on a whim and love them! Will be positng more of Staphanie! She makes me loaugh out loud. Easy reading, great "fluff."
Another winner from Evanovich!
Great summer read If you like lots of action, laughs and a little sex thrown in!
Love it! Stephanie Plum is my hero.
I found it very humorous and engaging. A good read!
As usual, it is a fast paced thriller with laughs along the way, this one leaves you hanging more than the others did.
Very Good! Stephanie Plum rocks!

very enjoyable-- I have read (almost) all of this series, and I love the humor she puts into the story.
This was a page turner and an exciting book. I have read several and enjoyed them all!
Whew! Grab a water bottle to cool you down. This one is the most sexually tense in my opinion of the first five. I love how the interaction between the characters is progressing. Evanovich does it again!
Great book... Love this series !
Another great book in this series. I'm totally hooked!
Though this wasn't my favorite of the series, I still enjoyed it! I can't wait to read the next book!

LOVE this series....I also love that I can read them all at once and I don't have to wait for the next one....well, until I read the 12th...
Suspenseful and funny--excellent.
Book 5 of the Stephanie Plum series. I love this series!! I would start with Book on (One for the Money). Great characters! I wonder when they will make this series into a movie or TV series!! Series is highly recommended.
One of the many adventures of Stephanie Plum, a New Jersey bounty hunter (by default). Lots of excitement, laughter and even some highly charged moments. A terrific series of books!
I loved this book.
Another great Stephanie Plum book. If you haven't read this series I highly recommend it! Great characters, funny and suspenseful.
Funny, great plot!! wonderful read!
great series...totally enjoyable!
I can't get enough of Stepanie Plum, "Jersey's favorite bounty hunter," but you don't have to be from NJ to enjoy this series. A missing uncle and a grandma with a stun gun are just two of the problems facing our heroine from Trenton in this funny and sexy episode.
This series is my favorite of this genre. Funny Jersey Girl!
these books keep getting better
This Stephanie Plum series is always lots of fun!
good book
More Stephanie Plum fun
Stephanie Plum is at it again. This time hunting down bad guys and an FTA has moved in with her and he's only three feet tall. The sexual suspense gets turned up a notch....will she pick Morelli or Ranger?
Another tale of Stephanie Plum, bounty hunter in spandex. Fun, quick read.
Fast, fun, and really amusing. Loved it!
Love this book, as always with this series.

Janet Evanovich - Stephanie Plum never disappoints. Her Grandma cracks me up.
Wow!! This one is awesome!! Cute, funny, and adventerous!! And of course involving Morelli and Ranger!!
Love Stephanie Plum, this series never fails to make me smile and entertain. If you love go-get-em characters you'll love Stephanie too!
Another hysterical read! And this time it looks like Morelli has some competition for Stephanie's affections!
Loved it! I enjoyed this Stephanie Plum book as much as the four before it. Now I'm looking forward to reading #6!
This was a great Plum mystery. Stephanie sets off in search of her missing uncle Fred and finds herself smack in the middle of yet another fiasco. Many LOL adventures in this one.
Stephanie Plum is on another case, and as usual there is a lot of excitement in this thriller.
Love this series!
Excellent. It had a great ending that made me start reading Hot Six right away!
I've been flying through the Stephanie Plum series ever since a friend introduced me to it last month. These books are consuming! Here's an excerpt from the back cover. "In her fifth high-octane thriller, bounty hunter Stephanie Plum sets out ot find her missing uncle- and along the way smacks slam-bang into: a dead body, a nasty bookie, her stun-gun-toting grandmother, two very sexy men, an angry little man who won't leave her apartment, and a Mafia wedding..."
Hard to put this one down. Surprise ending!
Stephanie Plum blows up the first of many Porsches, falls down a flight of stairs entangled with a little person, and has a second run-in with psycho boxer Bennie Ramirez as she continues to juggle boyfriends, nutty relatives, and donuts.
loved it can hardly wait to readthe next one!!!!
Just another story in one of my most favorite series. I like this series so much I got them all in hardback. Stephanie is always getting herself into the most hilarious situations.
I love this series - it is hilarious!

Great read! Must read the whole series, they keep you laughing and with your nose deep in the book trying to figure out the ending
This has been the best book by far in this series - she just keeps on writing better and better! Wish I could meet Ranger and Morelli in person - hubba, hubba! :) Great book!
Hilarious as always!!
Loved this whole "laugh out loud" series!
Fantastic book - the Stephanie Plum series is wonderful. Funny and refreshing - you won't be dissapointed.
Another terrific Stephanie Plum novel. Exciting, romantic, funny, and gloriously entertaining!
Great Read!
A great read!
The Fifth book in the delightful Stephanie Plum, the extrordinary bounty hunter, and her nutty family and friends.
can she get in any more trouble?
Another hysterical Stephanie Plum mystery. When Uncle Fred goes missing who else would the family call on to find him, but the family bounty-hunter? I loved the romantic triangle between Stephanie-Ranger-Joe Morelli! Can't wait to see what happens in the next book!
Stephanie runs into to trouble while looking for her missing uncle. Great read.
The action never stops ! Love it !!
This is a light and entertaining book. You actually laugh out loud. I enjoyed this light fun mystery very much.
Great series
When Stephanie's uncle disappears, Stephanie's family calls on her to track him down. In typical fashion, she stumbles into a web of criminal activity, and the criminals are none too happy with her. To complicate matters, she can't decide whether she wants Ranger or Morelli. Neither one is marriage material, but they both get her motor running. This book is guaranteed to keep you curious, with plenty of laughs along the way.
I am in love with the Stephanie Plum series. If you love a book that keeps you turning the pages, laugh out loud and feel nervous, then these are the books!! Highly recommend!!
OMG! I needed this read this weekend! Grandma Mazur is a pip! Grandma Bella appears at the wedding and Ranger makes his moves and lets her choose! Uncle Fred is indeed found after 2 weeks and Morelli's operation ends well. Bunchy the bookie turns out to be a fed. Steph goes through 3 cars. Rameriez has found religion and mets God!
What new can be said about Janet Evanovich - her books are great reading and very funny!
I am so addicted to these books! Very good. Check my bookshelf, I should have more posted.
Love these books by this author. Accidentally have two copies of this one so don't need it.
Very funny! Gradma is at her finest in the funeral home.
I read books 1-6 on my vacation, they all did not make it in time from pbs so I went out in search of the ones I needed and bought them, that is how awesome this series is!
I really couldn't get into it, so I'll just post it and hope the next person gets more out of it than I did
Another great and enjoyable read by Janet Evanovich
All of Janet Evanovich's books are great! No exception!
Oh my. And Ranger turns up the heat in a chilly October mystery...Uncle Fred has disappeared. But Stephanie always finds her target.
Wonderful book. A must read for any Evanovich fan.
Great reading lots of fun...
Great funny, crime, romantic read.
Awesome book.
Love the books in this series
In her fifth high-octane thriller, bounty hunter Stephanie Plum sets out to find her missing uncle---and along the way smacks slam-bang into: a dead body, a nasty bookie, her stun-gun-toting grandmother, two very sexy men, an angry little man who won't leave her aprtment, and a Mafia wedding. Makes you want to read the next one....Hot Six!
"Uncle Fred was someone I saw at weddings and funerals and once in a while at Giovichinni's Meat Market, ordering a quarter pound of olive loaf. Eddie Such, the butcher, would have the olive loaf on the scale and Uncle Fred would say, 'You've got the olive loaf on a piece of waxed paper. How much does that piece of waxed paper weigh? You're not gonna charge me for that waxed paper, are you? I want some money off for the waxed paper.'"
The speaker is Stephanie Plum, the glamorous if slightly ditzy bounty hunter from Trenton, New Jersey.
Stephanie's problems are many and varied. She's not making enough money picking up FTAs (Failures to Appear) for her cousin Vinnie, of Vincent Plum Bail Bonds; her red-hot love affair with Detective Joe Morelli has cooled off; and her giant extended family is no help at all. For instance, Uncle Fred the cheapskate has disappeared, leaving behind some suspicious photographs of body parts in garbage bags and links to some really dangerous people.
When Stephanie turns to her friend and mentor, Ranger, for financial advice, he gets her involved in a gang of toughs doing instant evictions for landlords. (She complains to Ranger about the job and its dangers, prompting one of the hired thug to say, "Man, you don't like to get shot. You don't like to get arrested. You don't know how to have fun at all.")
Most of Stephanie's charm, of course, comes from her attitude--a combination of the brazen bravado that turns a failed lingerie model into a bounty hunter in the first place and the normal fears of a person in over her head.

Fun, fun fun!

Not the cozy I wanted.
"Jersey's favorite bounty hunter has never been better! With high hair, street smarts, and plenty of attitude, Steph's sure to nail this case--or risk life and spandex-clad limb trying..."

From the day Stephanie Plum first started tracking down bail jumpers for her cousin Vinnie, neither bounty hunting nor the city of Trenton have ever been the same. Now, in High Five, Janet Evanovich's fifth installment in the Plum series, New Jersey's most entertaining bounty hunter is back on the trail again with the monstrous powder-blue Buick and the usual cast of zany characters at her side. There's stun-gun-packing Grandma Mazur, who has redefined the term "riding shotgun," and Lula, the black, bodacious, and bountiful hooker-turned-file-clerk who is just itching to bag herself a bail jumper. Of course, there's also vice officer Joe Morelli, with his fine-fitting jeans and a way of making Stephanie forget all but his presence. But after getting a little too close for comfort in the last book, Stephanie and Morelli have agreed to step back and take things slower, which allows Ranger Stephanie's sexy and mysterious mentor to step in and give Morelli a run for his money.
Stephanie's big case this time is a personal one, the result of high pressure from the family and an extremely low caseload at the office. She is trying to find her missing Uncle Fred, who went to the bank and grocery store three days ago and never returned. The only clue is a picture of an unidentifiable body in a garbage bag. While Stephanie is only too happy to help out the family, there is the little matter of the rent to pay and food to buy, and Uncle Fred's case is a freebie. Hoping to make enough to tide her over for a short while, Stephanie makes two fatal decisions. The first is toaskRanger, who never seems to be at a loss for money or sleek and sexy black cars, if he has any jobs she can do to tide her over. The second is to bring in what appears to be a low-paying but easy-to-find bail jumper, Randy Briggs. This second option looks like even easier money when Stephanie discovers Briggs is all of three feet tall, but Briggs, who gets a tad testy when he's called a midget, isn't as easy as he looks and refuses to be brought in by a "loser" like Stephanie. His success in avoiding capture and his constant taunting push Stephanie over the edge until finally, in a fit of pique, she bashes in his door and practically throws him down a flight of stairs.
Meanwhile, Ranger offers Stephanie a series of jobs that quickly become a series of disasters. But there is pay involved and the side perk of a company car, which frees Stephanie from having to drive the hated but seemingly indestructible Buick. Problem is, Stephanie has always had a penchant for having things blow up or burn down around her, and both her new jobs and her new wheels are short-lived as a result. To make matters worse, her investigation into Uncle Fred's disappearance is going nowhere and there's a nasty bookie following her around, making her life miserable. About the only good thing in Stephanie's life is the way both Morelli and Ranger seem determined to get her into bed. But neither of them is likely to get very far, since Stephanie has virtually no privacy. Not only is the mysterious bookie showing up inside her apartment unannounced; Randy Briggs has moved himself in lock, stock, and attitude, feeling it's only fair that Stephanie put him up while the door she ruined back at his own place is being repaired.
As disturbing details about Uncle Fred's disappearance surface, the body count for both people and cars mounts. Will Stephanie be able to solve the mystery before a vicious killer comes after her? Will she get her man in the end? (And in the case of Morelli and Ranger, which man will it be?) The answer is yes on all counts, but not before plenty of wisecracking comments, madcap adventures, and sidesplitting fun.
