It would probably be better just to read his journal articles than to slog through this edition. Obviously a very poor editing job here. This "book" ( a mere 100 or so pages) is drier than toast! His editor did nothing to pump up his journal articles for the popular audience. Each measly chapter has an intro that reads like an abstract, after which he simply fluffs up his journal articles. This is actually quite boring because he leaves out all the statistical analyses. If he included these, we might actually get a little something. However, be prepared for stretching of belief systems because his sample sizes rarely exceed 100 subjects. If you know anything about statistics or epidemiology you will realize that sample sizes that small are usually associated with very preliminary research and really cannot speak realistically of outcomes.
