I cannot understand the attraction of Hamish Macbeth, try as I might. I only read this because my internet was down for five days, and this was downloaded to my iPad. The only reason I gave this a positive score was the interesting info about the separation of Calvinists and other religions, particularly Roman Catholics. That was an insight I didn't have before about the Scottish people. Otherwise, the story wasn't that interesting.
