Awful! Talk a weak spineless dish wrag of a female character. The is nauseatingly sordid with the woman mindlessly doing what the male characters tell her. I know that was the lot of the women of that age but yeesh!!!! The whole story is a sad and pathetic. I used to love Karen Ranney and haven't read her in a couple of years. After this book I'm done with her books.
