I read this book after having decided to take a break from romances for awhile. "It's In His Kiss" was a very satisfying return to the historical romance genre for me. I had been a tad bit disappointed with a few of the previous books in the Bridgerton series but this one delivered. I thoroughly enjoyed the witty interaction between Hyacinth and Gareth - and Lady Danbury...what a hoot! Many laugh-out-loud moments combined with some quite touching scenes make for a very enjoyable read.
I look forward to reading Gregory's story in the future.

This book was an utter delight. Hyacinth is a charming character, stubborn and witty and a lot of fun, and Gareth is all those things too. This is a wonderful and delightful love story, full of banter and charm, but it's also a book about family and family relationships, and I love it to death!

Laugh out loud funny several times. The things the characters think are hilarious and some of the conversations are hysterical as well.

fast past read by Julia Quinn with likable characters that constantly make you laugh. Worth the read.

7th book in the Bridgerton series. Fun and witty with a bold heroine and a badly played concert Set things in motion for a wonderful story.

Better than I thought it would be! The sassy heroine is a switch from the moony threatened heroines of the gothics or the typical romance novel, and the hero manages to be tormented and funny at the same time. Neat trick.

Bridgerton series, Hyacinth's story(just love Gareth).I love the whole series.
Helpful Score: 1
Hyacinth is very different from her siblings...very much a free spirit. Lady Danbury introduces Hyacinth to her nephew, a man who estranged from his father and is hiding some things about his past. He asks Hyacinth to help him translate his grandmother's diary, not knowing what it is going to say about the past. This was an enjoyable book, but I didn't think it was as good as the others in the Bridgerton series.

Another classic featuring the youngest of the Bridgerton family. As always Julia Quinn has a great story line, interesting characters enough humor and romance to make this a quick read you won't want to put down til the end! You don't need to read the other books in this series before you read this one but if you haven't yet you will definitely want to!

I so enjoyed this book. The sparkling dialogue made me laugh out loud...I mean with actual belly laughs...and I read it one sitting. Of course, it had it's romantic moments, (nicely steamy, not overly so), and the requisite dashing suitor, secret, and mystery. What more could you ask for from a period romance novel?

Love her! Glad she got a good one. His grandmother is a hoot.

After reading so many of this series, I am involved with the entire family. The author puts just enough sadness, along with lots of love and humor that it feels like a real family.
A good read that goes along with an outstanding series.
I did not find this book nearly as engaging as the previous titles in the Bridgerton series. That said, I love the Bridgerton family and anyone who is a fan of the series should read Hyacinth's story.
Another excellent Bridgerton romance from Julia Quinn. I love the characters, pacing and wit of these books, and I can't wait to read them all! You'll find yourself rooting for the happy-ever-after, despite the pitfalls along the way.
7th in this series. I've enjoyed them all. Can be read alone and is still a good story.
This is the story of Hyacinth, youngest of the famed Bridgerton siblings, and Gareth St. Clair, a handsome and devilishly charming rogue with a wicked reputation.
Very pleasurable reading. Good author, good book.
Another in the Bridgerton series by this author. I have loved this series and really enjoyed this book!
Book 7 in an 8 book series. It is not necessary to read them in exact order as each book is about one of the Bridgerton family children finding love and marriage in the 1800's in London.
I loved this series--each book was different, wonderfully funny and romantic.

Not a fan. The author was trying too hard.
Enjoyable, romantic fiction.
Good book.
good beach read
This is my favorite book by Julia Quinn, and I'm a big fan. :-D
Love love love the Bridgerton series wish there were more.
Loved Hyacinth's sharp tongue! Another very enjoyable read by Julia Quinn.
Gareth St. Clair is in a bind. His father, who detest him, is determined to beggar the St. Clair estates and ruin his inheritance. Gareth's sole bequest is an old family diary, which may or may not contain the secrets of his past...........and the key to his future. The problem is....it's written in Italian, of which Gareth speaks not a word. Read once.
I really enjoyed the story. Love the Bridgerton series.
Gareth and Hyacinth cross paths at the annual--and annually discordant--Smythe-Smith musicale.
Great novel, part of a wonderful series
" He didn't know what he wanted-and then he kissed her."

another bridgerton novel. i don't think this one is as good as her previous ones.
The best Quinn ive read so far!!
Hyacinth's Story....EXCELLENT as always!
This book is one of Julia Qinn's best. The hero is Gareth St Clair, a handome as sin but with issues with his father. He meets Hyacinth Bridgerton, the youngest of the famed Bridgerton siblings---she's smart and outspoken and not your average heroine. There's an interesting mystery plot which centers on a diary written in Italian with clues that may lead to a treasure trove of diamonds.
Meet our hero...

Meet our heroine...
All the ton agreed: there was no one quite like Hyacinth Bridgerton. She's fiendishly smart, devilishly outspoken, and according to Gareth, probably best in small doses. But there's something about her - something charming and vexing - that grabs him and won't quite let go...
Meet poor Mr. Mozart...
Or don't. But rest assured, he's spinning in his grave when Gareth and Hyacinth cross paths at the annual - and annually discordant - Smythe-Smith musicale. To Hyacinth, Gareth's every word seems a dare, and she offers to translate his diary, even though her Italian is slightly less than perfect. But as they delve into the mysterious text, they discover that the answers they seek lie not in the diary, but in each other...and that there is nothin as simple - or as complicated - as a single, perfect kiss.

The 7th, and latest, book in the wonderful Bridgerton series ... excellent, as all of them have been!
This one is about Hyacinth, the eighth sibling in Quinn's bestselling Bridgerton family series. My favorite character is still Lady Danbury though! =)
Excellent! After reading this story, I had to hunt down others in this series. Gareth and Hyacinth are genuine, interesting characters. Could'nt put it down.
Excellent story. I've read all of Julia Quinn's books. I love her style.
This is the story of Hyacinth Brigerton and Gareth St. Clair. Julia Quinn is a great story Teller and her Brigerton books are the best.
Good book. Been a while since I have read it
Very good book. This is Hyacinth Bridgerton's story.
This was a good book, not my favorite my this Author, yet very readable anyway.
PRETTY GOOD READING
historical romance
You can't go wrong with this author! Great story.
This is book 7 in Quinn's Bridgerton series. This time out Hyacint is the star, in a book offering both a good romance and some humor as well.
This is part of the 'Bridgerton' series. Julia Quinn has wonderful characters, and these are quick and easy reading.
I love the entire Bridgerton series! This one is about Hyacinth.

I loved this book. In fact, I've read it several times already. It's much better when read in order of the Bridgerton series.
I liked it. A nice addition to the Bridgerton series.
Another delightful read from Julie Q, this time focusing on the irrepresible Hyacinth Bridgerton and her romance with Lady Danbury's grandson Gareth. Witty and well written, as always.
Not as enthralling as some of the others in the series, but still a good read.

enjoyable romance by a consummate storyteller.
Fun, lighthearted read. This is the first Bridgerton book I've read, it was fine out of sequence - just made me want to go back and read the first six books. My only complaint is that Hyacinth is repeatedly described as extremely intelligent but she never says or does anything that demonstrates her genius. I felt like Julia Quinn told us but didn't show us.
#7 in the Bridgerton series. A good enjoyable read. Love this series!
A great Julia Quinn book, I like her style. The characters are real and fun to know. You will love the family and all the siblings butting in and tension that picks up in the storyline. The Brigerton series is so fun and just makes you want to be a part of their family. A great read.
Hyacinth Bridgerton's story --

In the Bridgerton series, this is Hyacinth's story, book No. 7. It was a pretty good read, although not a good as some of the others.
Gareth St. Clair, disliked by his father, has his paternnal grandmother's diary. He hopes uncover secrets of his past, but it is written in Italian. Hyacinth Bridgerton, a close friend of his other Grandmother knows how to read Italian and agrees to translate for him.
They discover answers, and much more. Nothing is ever simple.
