:( + an e-mail from an ex = :)

Rocki St. Claire is a genius with this book!!! Written totally in e-mails, you'll feel like you're spying on Amber, the novel's main character, but it's so well written you'll keep reading to find out what happens next! This book is most certainly one of a kind and definitely for anyone whose main way of keeping in touch now-a-days is via e-mail! -

Excellent story written as emails and IM's to each other. Amber hooks up with an old high school flame; Amber's best friend is having marital problems and hooks up with an ex-co-worker. It's laugh-out-loud funny in places (where they "dis" the woman who is running the agnecy where they work). The old high school flame writes country songs. Between all the emails and IM's racing through cyber-space, everyone wants to know "Is it adultery or e-dultery? Is it cheating?" This is a really good book written for today's world of computers, wireless, cell phones, etc.

Chick-lit meets techno-lit...a novel told entirely in emails and IMs. Surprisingly readable (the conceit doesn't interfere with comprehension a bit). Good plot--predictable, of course, but a fun read along the lines of Good in Bed or Something Borrowed. In other words, better than average chick-lit, very engaging and light.

Hit Reply was a really fun book and didn't take long to read. I took it with me on a trip to the beach and read it while laying on the sand. It's definitely a chick lit novel but also has a lot of meaningful and emotional parts of the book. It will have you laughing out loud in no time.

Clever book, which tells a story about a girl who unexpectedly hears from her ex, through email. The entire story is told through emails. It is a fun read. Not too serious and a pretty quick read.

I was kind of unsure about this book at first. I figured that it was going to be too hard to keep up with the different characters that were emailing. I was wrong! I loved this book! It was a great story that had me laughing out loud and crying.

this is one of the best books I've read in a long time - I love the styling of it .... written in email and IM format - I couldn't put it down for more than a minute or two at a time!

I'm definitely going to look for more books by the same author!

Written in the time-honored epistolary style but with a modern twist, St. Claire's entertaining tale introduces three women and the men who love them (or not) through e-mail messages. Amber is in advertising, and she is facing her 10-year high-school reunion. She puts her information on an Internet classmate finder and is soon in touch with the bad boy she has never forgotten. He is totally not what she is looking for, but as his e-mails get steamier, she reconsiders her options. Stephanie is a stay-at-home mom who's terribly lonely and worried that her husband is having an affair. Amber gives her e-mail to a former coworker Stephanie almost slept with, and their relationship rekindles online. Julie is a divorced empty nester now working as Amber's assistant, and she, too, decides to use the computer to look up an old flame. It's amazing how well the cyber format delivers the story and how provocatively St. Claire raises such searching questions as "Is a cyber romance cheating?"

Whats worse than spam, more dangerous than cyber sex, and scarier than getting a computer virus? An Instant Message from the guy who got away ten years ago

Hit Reply is what happens when female friends turn to former lovers---and each other--- to find fulfillment.

foreveramber: Im 28, in advertising, single, and you know what I need the most?
wonderwoman: You need the strength of character to survive corporate politics, the confidence to believe in your inner beauty, and a trip to the Borghese counter.
foreveramber: Nah. I need a guy who looks like Brad Pitt.

I really enjoyed this book. It is written completely in email and IM's, but it was good. I thought at the beginning it might not have much depth. Once I got a little more into the story, it got a lot better. If you want to read a good book about friendship, this one is it!

I didn't expect this book to be in the format that it was. The entire thing was emails and IMs between various people. I loved it. It was the best book I have read in ages.

LOVED everything about this book! The format, the pace, the character's personalities, the relationships, AND even the endings! Picked it for a fun read - and it is - that and so *much* more! Not a single disappointment.
