One of Jackie Collins most famous books. If you like Hollywood gossip and intrigue, you will like this book.
I guess I was expecting something a little more focusing on the WOMEN. This book didn\'t really do that, it was more about Hollywood, which was cool, it\'s just that the title didn\'t fit.
you'll either love dalllas , Dynasty and the prurient tales of naugh.ty rich woman with too much beauty andtoo much time or you don't

"From Rodeo Drive to Malibu to Palm Springs, nobody knows the glittering world of love, lust, and betrayal like Jackie Collins.
How the fabulous beauties, whether famous or infamous, married success, divored carelessly, flirted with scandal. They bewitch their men.
Of all of Jackie Collins' novels, Hollywood Wives ranks as one of her most successful and shocking Hollywood novels. This was the first Jackie Collins novel I ever read; in fact, I came across it at my local library by accident. From the very first page I was hooked, and to be honest I loved all the sex, drugs, and Hollywood shenanigans. Collins really blew the lid off of what it was like to be a "Hollywood wife": affairs, drugs, plastic surgery, pregnancies, glitz, glamor, and a hell of a lotta fun. Normally, I don't give a Collins novel more than three stars, but this one was just too good to rate below four stars. If you're looking for great escapism and a peek into what Hollywood was, still is, like then Hollywood Wives is a must read.
Interesting insight into the lives of Hollywood elite.
i had never read any of her books before i read this one. and... I loved it!! i found it funny and sad, and a lot of various characters lives interwining. i would definately recomend this book.
They lunch at Ma Maison and the Bistro on salads and hot gossip. They cruise Rodeo Drive in their Mercedes and Rolls, turning shopping at Giorgio and Gucci into an art form. They pursue the body beautiful at the Workout and Body Asylum. Dressed by St. Laurent and Galanos, they dine at the latest restaurants on the rise and fall of one another's fortunes. they are the Hollywood Wives-a privileged breed of women whose ticket to ride is a famous husband.
Another fun read by Jackie Collins. Lots of characters ( most of whom end up in the sack together at some point), lots of action, all in all a fun read. A bit of a surprise ending that I didn't see coming, as well. If you'e looking for great literature, forget it. But if you want a fun read, check her books out. Don't feel guilty, either. Everyone needs a little 'guilty pleasure' every now and then.
loved it
