Wonderful book! Brilliant humor. Christian flavor, but not heavy handed.

I rated this book with a 5 as the writing is extraordinary. It's such a fast read & you find yourself laughing out loud at times. However, this is NOT a Christian book...as it clearly mocks Baptists, Methodists, Presbyterians and Worship Centers, but admires humanistic and Unitarian Views even though this is written by a Quaker pastor and is about a Quaker church. If you can look past that, its a great "just read for reading's sake" book. However, if the mocking and running down of what you believe irritates you, by the time you reach the 6th book in the series, you'd be very disappointed doctrinally. If you look at it as just fictional reading...its fun and entertaining...the pages fly by and you find yourself going from one book to the next...6 in the entire series.
Good read, warm feelings, a community that draws you in wishing that you lived there too!
