I read all of the Mitford Series book over several years, except for the final one. I was excited to see this at the local library, and was unaware a new series was in the making. I don't know if I am just in another stage in my life, or if this book really wasn't written as well as some of the Mitford Series, but I couldn't wait to be done with this to move forward to other books in my reading pile. I found the book a little confusing with the back and forth dialogs of the characters, and the walk down memory lane. I do think Jan Karon is a great writer who uses a lot of detail in her novels; this book was just not for me though.
