Although it was an enjoyable read and didn't bore me too much, as I have always adored Julie Andrew's singing and acting, it WAS a bit dull at times. I loved learning about how she was raised and what she went through. It was fun to read about her accounts with those she met in the industry as well. It just seemed cut short in a way, even though it was an over 300 paged book. She ended it before becoming a film oriented actress. That's hardly even half of her life that we get to learn about. It was not a bad book though

This was a great book. I never wanted to put it down. It gave more insight into this wonderful person, actress and author. I hope she writes another book about her later years. I think it would be as good as this one. She is one terrific author.

As a longtime fan of Julie Andrews, I was delighted to run across this little gem. Andrews writes candidly about both her personal life and her professional beginnings, chronicling her adventures in performing and learning with such luminaries as Rodgers & Hammerstein, Carol Burnett, Walt Disney, Moss Hart, Richard Burton, and many others. She shares struggles and triumphs as she draws her reader into this intensely intimate portrait of her journey home.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and now I have ordered the next one. Julie's book was easy reading and full of her humor and love for the ones around her. Can't wait for the next book.
