This is such an entertaining book. There is a story about each recipe and why it is a favorite with the author. Looking forward to her next book in 2014.

A shame it took so long for me to read this book, because it was really pretty good. I think I confused the author with someone else whose book I didn't like. This memoir is simply connected stories of her life with each focusing on one particular food item. The chapter ends with a recipe for that item. She is a good writer with a fine sense of humor. The stories and recipes are entertaining. Recommended.
